Rockwood Dock

From the Rockwood dock you get an excellent view of Mt. Kineo. A shuttle boat takes people between the dock and Mt. Kineo. There is also free parking, a rest room and a boat ramp at the dock.

The Rockwood dock is also a good starting point for an around Mt. Kineo Kayak trip. Although Mt. Kineo is not an island, only a short portage is required. We recommend that you only attempt to cross to Kineo in a canoe or kayak if you are an experienced paddler and have accurate weather information.

The portage is only 50 feet or so depending upon lake level if you pick a good spot.
