Indian Pond and Boat Launch

The boat launch on the north eastern end of Indian Pond is reached by the Burnham Pond Road, which can be muddy and rough early in the season. Boat ramp is gravel and can be shallow. Indian Pond is well known for smallmouth bass, landlocked salmon, lake & brook trout. East and West Outlets empty into Indian Pond on the north end. East Outlet from Moosehead Lake to the red markers in Indian Pond is fly fishing only. For a map and more information check out: CLICK HERE

Be careful when boating in Indian Pond since the water level can fluctuate quite a bit depending on power needs down at the dam. In 2008 and 2009 Indian Pond is open to fishing through October 31st.

Camping sites are available adjacent to the boat ramp. A small daily fee is charged for camping.
